Visas through skilled migration are one of the best pathways to live and work in Australia. You may be eligible to apply for a visa under the Australian Skilled Migration Program if you meet the following criteria:
Under 50 years of age:
Applicants must be under the age of 50 years at the time of application to be eligible for a visa under the Australian Skilled Migration Program.
Nominated occupation is in the Skilled Occupations List (SOL) or Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL):
To qualify, the applicant's nominated occupation must be listed in either the Skilled Occupations List (SOL) or the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL).
Skills assessed as equivalent to an Australian qualification:
Applicants need to have their skills and qualifications assessed by a relevant assessing authority to confirm that they are equivalent to the Australian standards for their nominated occupation.
At least competent level in the English language:
A competent level of English language proficiency is required to ensure effective communication and integration into the Australian workplace and society.
Of good health and character background:
Applicants must meet health requirements and provide police clearance certificates to demonstrate good character and compliance with Australian visa regulations.
Pass the points test:
Applicants must score a minimum number of points on the Australian immigration points test based on factors such as age, English proficiency, education, work experience, and other relevant criteria.
